Jñāna is an immersive digital wellness platform that reconnects you with the authentic essence of ancient Eastern practices and philosophies, promoting true self-awareness, higher consciousness and holistic wellbeing. Modern life lacks true depth, leaving people searching for something real. Micro-habits and quick fixes don’t create lasting transformation. And many Eastern traditions risk being forgotten or misrepresented in the pursuit of commercial wellness.
tl;dr was tasked with developing a visual identity for Jñāna that aptly encapsulates its essence and practices. Rooted in Eastern philosophy of slow, mindful-living, Jñāna offers subscription-based immersive wellness journeys led by Eastern teachers, filmed in their native landscapes. For the primary logo we went with a classic-yet-clean customised serif logotype that represents the brand's no-nonsense attitude towards healthcare practices, while also highlighting the importance of tradition. For the colour palette we went with deep red and yellow, colours which feature heavily in the Eastern society and have cultural significance in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions, followed by a light, washed-out pink to balance things of. The brand typefaces are a blend of clean sans and serifs that again highlight the importance of upholding tradition in a modern context. The studio does not own the images used in this case study, the known authors have been credited, rest of the images are part of the public domain.
